A never before heard song by Michael Jackson has emerged online.
The song, entitled ‘A Place With No Name’, was obtained by Entertainment website TMZ.
The website said the track was a re-working of the 1971 song ‘A Horse With No Name’ by America.
The group, who are still performing, are said to have given Jackson permission to record his version, despite similarities with their track.
"The band was honoured that Michael chose to do their song and they hope it becomes available for all Michael's fans to hear,” Jim Morey, America’s manager, said.
It is not known when the song – which can be heard below – was recorded.
But it is the first of many unreleased Jackson songs which are expected to surface following the star’s sudden death on June 25.
Jackson is known to have been recording new material up until his death.
Friend Deepak Chopra revealed last month that the star was writing a new track about climate change.
Jackson had also recorded an album with Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am and US R&B star Ne-Yo.
