Marlon Jackson has said it was important that the Jackson brothers had time to mourn the death of Michael.
The four remaining members of the Jackson 5 were filming a TV documentary when their brother died suddenly in June.
In an interview with MTV, Marlon said producers gave them time off to mourn their brother's passing.
"We took time off to mourn, a lot of time,” he said.
“And what I should say is that we appreciate the fact that our production team gave us the time and made sure that we were ready to come back."
He said there was no limit on how long the four brothers could take off, but admitted that it “still hasn't been enough time”.
However, he added that they had returned for the sake of the singer's fans.
“We wanted to continue to do it, plus we felt it was a way to sort of give back to the fans and communicate to them on a one-on-one basis," he added.
The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty debuted on US TV last weekend. It follows the brothers before and after Michael's death.
