The North East’s biggest music festival Orange Evolution is back again and bigger than ever with over 30 indoor gigs and three outdoor stages.
The event which takes place in Newcastle and Gateshead from May 19 -30 will follow a theme tracing the roots of popular music from Blues to Dance. It will also include a special appearance by Spiritualised, who will be premiering their new material during a one off gig at The Sage Gateshead.
Other performers during the eleven day event include The Others, The Resentments, Rooster, Disco Noir, and Tsunami Bomb. The grand finale will be on May 30 with a free music festival over three sites featuring some of the best talent in music.
The Innovation stage will feature Dizzie Rascal, The Ordinary Boys, Super Furry Animals, Mylo and Dogs Die in Hot Cars with more to be announced. The Future Heads, The Others, Carbon Silicone and Fightstar will star on the Imagination stage.
And last but not least the Inspiration stage will see sets by Candi Staton, Misty In Roots, American Music Club and Martin Stephenson & The Daintees. More acts are set to be announced in the near future, so stay tuned for more news.
