Enter Shikari have thanked fans for their understanding after they were forced to cancel at gig in Blackpool when the venue's ceiling collapsed.
Structural issues with the Grade II listed building's ceiling emerged during the band's soundcheck on Saturday.
Many of the 1,500 sell-out crowd had already arrived at the venue to attend a pre-show event, but at 7pm they were told the show had been cancelled.
As Gigwise reported exclusively earlier, Enter Shikari then spent 4 hours conducting a meet and greet session with fans.
In a statement, the band said: “During the band's soundcheck, structural issues with the building came to light, and Health & Safety officers pulled the show.
“Suffice to say, everyone here is well gutted... It looked and sounded incredible in there, and indeed it would have 'gone off bigtime' were the show to go ahead as planned.”
They added: “Enter Shikari and their management would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the fans who, though obviously upset, were so understanding, and thank you also to the security team for their sterling work under difficult circumstances.”
A rescheduled date is to be announced soon, but whether it takes place in Blackpool is still unclear.
Enter Shikari's UK tour continues tomorrow (February 9) in Middlesbrough.
