Big Audio Dynamite have reformed in their original line-up for the first time in 25 years for a UK tour, it's been announced.


The rock-hiphop-reggae group, started by Mick Jones following his time in the Clash, will play nine dates in March and April.

The tour kicks off in Liverpool on March 28 and includes two nights at London's Shepherd’s Bush Empire on April 2 and 3.

It is due to conclude at Bristol's Academy on April 6. The group are also due to perform at the Coachella festival in Los Angeles later in the month.

Things To Look Forward To In 2011

  • James Blake Release Debut Album - Picked as one of Gigwise's Ones To Watch In 2011, James Blake is set to have an incredible year. The London singer/songwriter releases his self-titled debut album on February 7.

  • Coldplay Return - Coldplay have been busy working on the follow-up to 2008's 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends. With only two live dates in UK last year the band will make an anticipated comeback this year.

  • Kanye West and Jay-Z Release Joint Album - With Kanye West's 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' becoming on of the top albums of 2010, the joint album with Jay-Z is set to be even bigger. The album's release date is still unknown but the album's as-yet-untitled first single will be released on January 11.

  • Pulp Reunion - As one of the 90s favourite Brit Pop band's, Pulp announced that they will reform for a number of summer gigs and festivals in 2011. Time to dig out those old albums.

  • Katy Perry UK Tour - Katy Perry brings her California Dreams tour to the UK in the spring and autumn. Playing a host of dates, everybody can enjoy Perry's infectious hits.

  • Coachella Festival - The festival season will soon be here again and what better place to enjoy some of music's finest than in California's glorious sunshine. Last year's Coachella Festival included headliner's Muse, Gorillaz and Jay-Z. Arcade Fire are among this year’s rumoured acts.

  • Blur Return To The Studio - Since their Glastonbury reunion in 2008, the question on every body's lips has been will a new album follow. Blur are now heading back into the studio in January to work on a rumoured new LP.

  • Beady Eye - After Oasis split in 2009, fans have been waiting to see what the Gallagher brothers will do next. Liam Gallagher returns in 2011 with Beady Eye's debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding’, set for release February 28.

  • Blink-182 Tour And Album - Blink-182 are set to make their comeback in 2011. The band will return to the UK in July for their first arena tour in over seven years as well as release the follow-up to their 2003 self-entitled album.

  • Take That - With their album 'Progress' becoming the biggest selling album of 2010, Take That mean business in 2011. Now joined by Robbie Williams, Take That will begin their 28 day sold-out tour in May.

  • Queens 40th Anniversary - 2011 marks not only the 40th anniversary since Queen formed but it is also 20 years in November since Freddie Mercury died. To mark the anniversaries, Sacha Baron Cohen will star in a film about the singer, and a Queen documentary is set for release as well as re-issues of both Greatest Hits.

  • The Brit Awards And MTV VMAs - Everybody loves a good awards ceremony. The Brit Awards will take place at it's new location of London's O2 Arena with confirmed performances by Take That and Plan B. Whilst MTV hosts it's annual star studded VMAs in September.

  • Arctic Monkeys Return - All is quite on the Sheffield front at the moment, but not for long: Arctic Monkeys return with a new album later this spring followed by festival slots.

  • Roger Waters Tours The Wall - Pink Floyd's Roger Waters brings the band's famous 1979 album 'The Wall' tour back to the UK in May.

  • Kings Of Leon Hit The Stadiums - The Nashville band are set to take a step up to the big time as they play a host of stadium dates across the UK in support of recent album 'Come Around Sundown'.

  • Roxy Music - Brain Ferry joins the original line-up of Roxy Music as they head back on the road at the end of January to celebrate the band's 40th anniversary.
