Lady Gaga will release the video for new single 'Judas' over Easter, it has been reported.
The track, which is the second single from her forthcoming album 'Born This Way', was released on Friday (April 16).
The video, due to be released over Easter, sees Gaga dressed as Mary Magdalene, an significant figure in the New Testament., reports The Mirror.
Images from the video have come under fire from various religious groups.
''She is trying to rip off Christian idolatry to shore up her talentless, mundane and boring performances,'' Bill Donahue, president of The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights said.
“Another ex-Catholic whose head is turned around... Is this the only way to jet up her performance?”
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga's support of gay rights has won the praise of Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe.
