Jedward have said they want their appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest to make them a global name.
The twins, John and Edward Grimes, are representing Ireland with the song 'Lipstick', but must first get through the semi-final tonight (May 12).
In an interview with the Huffington Post, the former X Factor stars said the competition provided a perfect platform to make them more famous.
John said: “Every single European country is watching it. And it's a huge way for Jedward to go global.”
Edward added: “Basically we're doing Eurovision because we don't like going on holidays where people don't recognise us.
“So now we wanna conquer the whole world so people can recognise us in every single country. But people do still recognise us, but we want it so we won't be able to go anywhere.”
The United Kingdom's entry Blue, who are already in the final, also expressed similar reasons for entering the competition.
The Eurovision Song Contest final will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany on Saturday (May 14).
