Duran Duran star John Taylor has revealed that Take That asked to them to support on their forthcoming stadium tour.

The group, who kick off their Progress jaunt later this month, eventually chose the Pet Shop Boys.

In an interview with the Metro, Taylor confirmed Duran Duran had been approached, and said: “Sh*t, you can't blame them for asking but we didn't feel it was the right thing for us.”

Take That's tour will see them perform for the first time with Robbie Williams in over a decade.

Speaking about the jaunt, Pet Shop Boys said: "We look forward to every night being a huge celebration of pop music."

Tickets for the band's Progress tour are on sale now. For more details and to buy Take That tickets, check out Gigwise Gig Tickets.
