Florence & The Machine will have their second album finished by July, producer Paul Epworth has revealed.

The band are currently putting the finishing touches to the anticipated follow-up to 2009's 'Lungs'.

Producer Paul Epworth, who recently worked with Adele and Friendly Fires, said he 'can't 'wait' for people to hear the new album.

'I'm currently in the studio with Florence working on record number two, I can't wait for people to hear what we've been working on. At the moment I feel like the record will have a more stripped feel but it has a heavy rhythmic side to it. It's a little less Indie and a little bit more soulful,'' Epworth told BBC 6 Music.

He added: ''She's amazing. She's worked really really hard to create such a big body of work, we've whittled a long list of songs to about sixteen. I just can't wait to get it done. The record will probably be finished by the end of July.''

Meanwhile, Florence Welch joined by Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson to perform an Aretha Frankin tribute at this year's Grammy Awards.
