Fans Defend Anne Hathaway Over Lil' Wayne 'Paparazzi' Freestyle - Video

Fans have leapt to the defence of Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway after she performed a rap freestyle on a US talk show.

The star of One Day shocked the audience on Conan when she unleashed a rap about the paparazzi in the style of Lil' Wayne.

Hathaway told Conan O'Brien she wrote the rap song due to the attention she has been receiving on the set of Batman: Dark Knight Rises.

Her performance initially drew criticism online, but fans have since defended the actress on YouTube, where a video of the performance has already received over one million views.

One fan wrote: “She is amazing! She got some big ba**s under that dress! She is natural! And thats what counts in my opinion!”

Another YouTube user said: “I hate that people say this is not feminine, and she made a fool of herself.. I say, 'SHUT THE F*CK UP'.”

“This is awesome! she is totally just having fun and I think its great. She’s down to earth and normal and I love her for that,” one user wrote.

Hathaway is still filming Dark Knight Rises, while One Day is out now on general release.
