Lil' Wayne received eight stitches after a skateboarding accident in St Louis at the weekend.
The rapper was taken to hospital after coming off his deck following his performance at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre last night (August 21).
"The Lou was good but I busted my fuggin head at the sk8park!" Wayne wrote on Twitter. "9stiches! Gnarly gash over my left eye! Luv the people."
The rapper's injury comes a week ahead of the release of his much-anticipated new album 'Tha Carter IV'.
The album, which is the non-sequential follow-up to 'Tha Carter III', is released on August 28 in the UK and the following day (29) in the US.
It includes the single '6 Foot 7 Foot' and the soon-to-be-released Drake-featuring song 'She Will'.
'Tha Carter IV' also features guest vocals from T-Pain, John Legend, Rick Ross, Nas and Busta Rhymes, as well as production from Kanye West and Tha Bizness.
The album is Lil' Wayne's first full studio length release since he left prison.
