My Chemical Romance have suggested that their new album might be released in summer next year.

The band, who recently finished touring 2010's 'Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys', are currently working on new material.

"Whether it be writing a new My Chem record or working on a different kind of project, there are a couple of things coming in the works," guitarist Frank Iero told Rolling Stone.

“But I definitely see new music coming out or at least being worked on throughout the rest of this year and hopefully maybe something coming out by summer.”

In another interview last month, Iero said he envisaged the band would embark on solo projects before returning to record a new My Chemical Romance album.
