The Stone Roses' Ian Brown has escaped a driving ban after being caught speeding at 105mph.
The frontman appeared in court this morning (October 24) where he was given a £650 fine by Chester magistrates and also received six penalty points for speeding in his Lexus on the M6 in April earlier this year.
According to The Belfast Telegraph Brown was also ordered to £300 prosecution costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
Brown thanked the magistrates decision after his lawyer Nick Freeman argued that a driving ban would make it difficult for him to see his 11-year-old son who lives in London while he rehearses for The Stone Roses' reunion gigs in Manchester.
The band, who announced their reunion at a press conference on Tuesday (October 18) plan to play three hometown shows at Manchester's Heaton Park on June 29, 30 and 31, as well as going on an extensive world tour.
