Nickelback have responded to comments made by Th Black Keys, that blamed them for the death of rock n' roll music.
The Black Keys, who released latest album 'El Camino' in December, claimed that Nickelback are to blame for the current lull in guitar music.
''Rock and roll is dying because people became OK with Nickelback being the biggest band in the world'', drummer Patrick Carney told Rolling Stone.
He added: "So they became OK with the idea that the biggest rock band in the world is always going to be shit - therefore you should never try to be the biggest rock band in the world. F*ck that.
"Rock and roll is the music I feel the most passionately about, and I don't like to see it ****ing ruined and spoon-fed down our throats in this watered-down, post-grunge crap, horrendous shit."
Nickelback responded, tweeting, "Thanks to the drummer in the Black Keys calling us the Biggest Band in the World in Rolling Stone. Hehe.''
Earlier this week Kasabian said that they think the music charts are dominated by'pop acts', insisting there is a 'drought' of rock'n'roll' bands around.
