The Black Keys honoured in high school event

The Black Keys must be the coolest guys around at the moment – and it seems we’re not the only ones who think so.

The duo were inducted into their High School Hall of Fame in Akron, Ohio earlier this week.

Pat Carney and singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach returned to Firestone High School to receive the honour on Monday (March 5).

Speaking about the award, Pat said: ''I haven't been in here in 12 years, not since my brother graduated."

Meanwhile, The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach has said that the whole argument about the 'death of rock n' roll' is stupid.

In an interview with WGRD, Auerbach claimed that the popularity of bands such as Foo Fighters is evidence why rock n' roll music is far from dead.
