More about: Rage Against The Machine
Rage Against The Machine frontman Tom Morello has demanded controversial US radio host Rush Limbaugh stop playing his band's music on his show.
The host became unpopular with many American musicians after he called a law student a slut and prostitute for defending women's rights in the US. Peter Gabriel, Rush and The Fabulous Thunderbirds have done the same.
"Rush Limbaugh played "Sleep Now in the Fire" as a bumper on his show today," Morello told his followers on Twitter. "Our response: 'Hey Jackass, stop using our music on your racist, misogynist, right wing clown show."
There are no laws allowing artists to demand unfavourable hosts stop playing their music.
