Axl Rose has asked that his induction to the rock 'n' roll hall of fame be retracted in an open letter to his fans and organisers of the honour.
The original line up of Guns 'n' Roses are due to be inducted to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame later this month with members of Green Day set to conduct the event. Even Slash has got on board and said he would love to play with his old bandmates, but knows that Rose 'hates his guts'.
So it will come as no surprise that Rose, who was linked to Lana Del Rey earlier this week, took to Facebook to decline the offer.
"Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony doesn’t appear to be somewhere I’m actually wanted or respected." he wrote, in a letter consisting of over 1,000 words.
Adding: "For the record, I would not begrudge anyone from Guns their accomplishments or recognition for such. Neither I or anyone in my camp has made any requests or demands of the Hall Of Fame. It’s their show not mine."
"That said, I won’t be attending The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction 2012 Ceremony and I respectfully decline my induction as a member of Guns N’ Roses to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame."
The induction ceremony is due to take place on Saturday, April 14, in Cleveland with Red Hot Chili Peppers and Beastie Boys both due to be inducted.
