Noel Gallagher quizzed after drugs find at Coachella

Noel Gallagher ran into trouble at Coachella this past weekend when officials confused his sleeping pills for something much more illegal.

The High Flying Birds star was at the US festival to perform on the first of this year's two weekends but was stopped three times on his way into the arena - something he was not best pleased about.

Speaking to The Sun, Noel said: “We got body-searched coming in. It was like an airport. It is me, I suppose, so they might know the history.

Adding: “They pulled out my sleeping tablets and asked me to explain them. There were about 30 little yellow and white tablets. I said, ‘In all seriousness Chuck, or whatever your name is, do you not think these would at least be down my sock? They are sleeping tablets.

“‘What do you want me to do? Take one before I go on stage to prove what they are?’ ”

Elsewhere at Coachella, Dre Dre and Snoop Dogg brought Tupac Shakur back from the dead for their headline slot using hologram technology.
