    Stars pay tribute to Donna Summer

    Following the tragic death of Donna Summer yesterday (17 May, 2012) stars including Rihanna, Kylie and Quincy Jones have taken to Twitter to express their sadness at the loss of the queen of disco.

    Quincy Jones led the tibutes, writing: 'Rest in Peace dear Donna Summer. Your voice was the heartbeat and soundtrack of a decade.'

    Kylie Minogue mourned the loss of her fellow dance-floor diva, saying: "One of my earliest musical inspirations, RIP Donna Summer #BadGirlsForEver."

    Meanwhile, stars such as Kelly Rowland, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Mary J. Blige also made their feelings clear.

    Kelly Rowland wrote, 'Donna Summer. Icon! Legend! Her voice! Her spirit! Rest In peace, you truly inspired me! I love you!' whilst Minaj said: 'Wow, another legend gone. Rest in peace to the beautiful disco queen Donna Summer,'

    Rihanna was left baffledby the news, simply asking: 'Donna Summer??'

    Elsewhere, Chic's Nile Rogers added: "For the last half hour or so I've been lying in my bed crying and stunned. Donna Summer RIP"

    Other stars to pay tribute inlcude Dolly Parton, Timbaland, Robyn, Katy B, La Roux and Best Coast.
