Artists performing and involved in the London 2012 closing ceremony have seen a huge boost to sales, with Kate Bush, Emeli Sande, Oasis and the Spice Girls enjoying a resurgence in sales.

Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill' (A Deal With God remix) is currently at No.7 on the iTunes chart, while Emeli Sande's 'Read All About It Pt.II' is at No.11. Sande performed her track at the closing ceremony, while the new mix of Kate Bush's 1985 was played during the show.

John Lennon's 'Imagine' returns to the chart at No.14, 'Wonderwall' by Oasis is at No.27.

Emeli Sande's album Our Version Of Events is currently at No.3 on the iTunes chart, Elbow's The Seldom Seen Kid climbs to No.6 and Spice Girls' Greatest Hits is th No.9. Kate Bush's The Whole Story is at No.15 and Oasis' What's The Story (Morning Glory) is at No.37.

However, while the Olympics effect is strong in the new chart, it hasn't manage to stop Rita Ora stampeding her way to the top spot with her new single, 'How We Do (Party)'. The singer is set to score her third consecutive chart topper with the track following No.1 success with her DJ Fresh collaboration 'Hot Right Now' and solo single, 'RIP'.

The end of the London 2012 was marked by a huge show in the Olympic Stadium, while Blur performed in Hyde Park.
