Despite taking home two awards at this year's ceremony, Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon has revealed that he 'still hates the grammys'.
Vernon expressed his discontent with the awards during a twitter conversation with Grizzly Bear's Ed Droste.
Droste had been tweeting his anger at not receiving any Grammy nominations when Vernon stepped in to offer his support and encouragement.
Vernon wrote - via Pitchfork: "this is why i hate the grammies. because it allows you to question what you've done. don't question what you've done Ed."
The Grizzly Bear keyboardist had tweeted: "So the Grammies are literally based off sales and nothing else?#bummerzone... Super relieved Taylor Swift is up for another award. Was worried she didn't have enough! #phew."
But Vernon continued with his words of wisdom at Twitter.com/blobtower.
"Y'all music is pure as fuck and this nobody making music like you and i think it's truly unique. the grammies aren't a measure of much taht is calculable or quantifiable by our own contexts for music. why you create is most important."
Droste then began asking the Bon Iver man what the 'Grammy Secret' was.
"Don't know how you managed to infiltrate @blobtower, what's the secret?... or maybe we gotta make better music :/ point is a year ago I was so excited you were nominate, and nobody from "our world" :(."
Mumford and Sons, Jay-Z and Kanye West are among the most hotly tipped for next years awards.

Frank Ocean and Fun. will also be patting themselves on the back following the nomnations annoucement.
Both will compete in six categories, as will Dan Auerbach who picked up five nominations with The Black Keys and one as a solo artist.
The ceremony for the 55th annual Grammy Awards will be held at LA's Staples Centre on Februaru 10. Until then we can only speculate on who might take the awards home.
