More about: Paramore
Paramore have posted a 58 second teaser for their new single 'Now', which is set to be released on 22 January. Listen to the track below.
The single is taken from their upcoming self titled album Paramore, which will not only be the band's first release in three years - a follow up to Brand New Eyes - but is also their first new album since the departure of founding members Josh and Zac Farro.
Paramore previously posted a lyric from 'Now' on their website, which was "If there is a future, we want it Now." No lyrics can be heard in the new clip, which has the song building to a climax and abruptly ending just before.
The video - below - was posted on the band's Facebook page along with the caption, "There's a time and a place to die, but this ain't it..."
Posting on the band's website about 'Now', Paramore said, "The first single off the album is called "Now". Not really sure what else to say except for we love this song. It just feels like the perfect way to start this new journey we are embarking on not only as a band but as a movement.
"To show people that you can lose battles but come back and win full on wars. You can rise from ashes. You can make something out of even less than nothing. The only thing you have to do is keep moving forward!"
The band recorded Paramore in a recording studio in LA last year, and sees former bassist for Beck Justin Meldal-Johnsen as producer, and Ilan Rubin from Angels and Airwaves on drums - who has also previously played with Nine Inch Nails and Lostprophets.
The album is due to be released on 9 April.
