Singer sets up Never Fade records to work with new talent

Up and coming singer/songwriter Gabrielle Aplin has set up her own record label and is starting to work with other young artists.

The 20-year-old musician is currently looking after you singer Hannah Grace, according to The Daily Star.

Aplin shot to fame before Christmas when her cover of Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s ‘The Power Of Love’ was chosen for a festive John Lewis advert and reached number one in the UK singles charts.

Her next single ‘Please Don’t Say You Love Me’ managed to climb to number six in the charts.

Speaking about her new project, Aplin was full of praise for her new protégée.

“When I went to City Of Bath College I studied the music business.

“I like being able to undersrtand that side of things, so I’ve started my own label, Never Fade.

“Hannah’s voice is amazing. It’s like Beyonce covering Michael Kiwanuka.

“I’ve been advising her on how to pick producers and which of her songs she should record.”

Grace has also been invited to join Aplin on her upcoming tour of the Uk that will see her playing a number of small venues across Britain.

Aplin will release her debut album, English Rain, on April 29.
