French band M83 have premiered their new single 'Oblivion', taken from the soundtrack of the new Tom Cruise movie of the same name. Listen to the track below.

The band have teamed up with Norwegian singer Susanne Sundfor for the track, which is the band's first new material since their 2011 album, Hurry Up We're Dreaming. The album propelled M83 to international success, scoring an international hit single with their single 'Midnight City'.

M83 mainman Anthony Gonzales teamed up with Joseph Trapanese for the Oblivion soundtrack - who also worked with Daft Punk on their soundtrack to Tron: Legacy.

'Oblivion' is a suitably epic, cinematic track, with Sundfor's glacial vocals giving the M83 sound a fresh feel. Listen to 'Oblivion' below.

"Scoring the film was a true enjoyment," says Gonzales of his work on the soundtrack. "It involved lots of stress, lots of sweat, and lots of hard work, but in the end, the soundtrack serves the movie very well.

"It really is a great Hollywood soundtrack. Oblivion is a big film with a big sound and a big orchestra, and while the soundtrack is different from my original idea, in the end I am very proud of it. I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of this journey."
