During the interview Usher reveals how Michael Jackson and Bobby Brown were his idols growing up, and how he had to convince people that one day he'd be like them.
The pair also talk about Usher's work with Puff Daddy as a young artist and how that helped nurture his talents, and discuss discovering Justin Bieber.
Usher is currently keeping busy as a judge on the US version of The Voice, where he says he's trying to find a new Justin Bieber.
Pharrell Williams is one of the most in demand producers and artists in the world at the moment.
Having lent his talents to Taylor, The Creator's new album Wolf, Daft Punk fans have recently been teased with clips of Pharrell singing with the band in what will be the first single from Random Access Memories.
