Joan Jett and the Blackhearts have debuted their new single 'Any Weather' onstage in a fiery performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The song is the first single to be taken from the band's upcoming album Unvarnished - the first record in seven years - and boasts typical Jett signature features, not least the super-singable anthemic chorus with some poppy peppering.

Unvarnished will also feature further contributions from Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, as well as an appearance by Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace. Jett has said that the album, to be released on 1 October this year, is the most autobiographical she's done to date.

  • Adele: Speaking about the infamous moment when Adele was cut short during her speech at the 2012 BRIT Awards. "I flung the middle finger. That was for the suits at the Brit Awards, not my fans. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but the suits offended me."
