Katy Perry has revealed plans to record a duet with Rihanna, but claims the duo will only team up when they have the perfect song.

The US superstars have long hinted and teased a potential collaboration, and Perry has now confirmed that plans are afoot to make the idol chatter a reality, after endless speculation.

"We've actually been talking about it for years, so we can't let anyone down," said Perry in an interview with Los Angeles radio station 102.7 KIIS FM. "We have to do the best song ever. Beyond that, I think we'll definitely get around to it and when it happens, you are going to know."
