One man has been killed, and another wounded, after a shooting occurred outside a nightclub event thrown in Nas' honour this weekend.
According the reports, the rapper attended the aftershow party following his Lollapalooza set earlier in the day. The party took place at the Bodi nightclub in the North of Chicago.
Police told the Chicago Tribune that a 32-year-old man was found in an alley with a gunshot wound to the abdomen in the early hours of the morning, and was pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been named as Martrell Ross.
Another man, who is 21-years-old, was also found near the club with a gunshot wound to the stomach. He is currently at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he is in critical condition.
Police patrolling the area are said to have heard gunfire at the time of the shooting, and pursued a man running from the scene. Despite one officer opening fire on the suspect, he managed to escape.
According to Revolt, Nas was escorted out of the club before the incident took place, as a result of an alleged incident between security and a member of the public who was ejected from the venue.
