Bryan Ferry has previewed five new tracks from his upcoming 14th studio album, Avonmore featuring contributions from Johnny Marr, Nile Rodgers and Todd Terje.
Having already debuted 'Loop De Li', Ferry played five tracks on NPR: the slinky space disco of 'Midnight Train' (which boasts nine separate guitarists); a luxurious reimaginging of Sondheim favourite 'Send In The Clowns'; burbling Todd Terje funk 'Johnny And Mary', the Johnny Marr assisted 'Soldier of Fortune' and the choppy disco track 'Driving Me Wild' featuring Nile Rodgers.
Listen to Bryan Ferry's 'Loop De Li' below.
Ferry described working with Marr: "Johnny is a very good spirit. I mean, he's, he's got a true rock and roll spirit. He lives the music and he's fantastic. [This song has] a very sort of tender sort of bit of guitar, really, which started with this riff that Johnny was playing in the studio. And we built it up from that."
Bryan Ferry's new solo album Avonmore is out on BMG on 10 November. He will be hitting the road in May to tour his vast array of Roxy Music and solo classics.
