Bob Geldof has announced details for Band Aid 30, a 2014 reboot of the iconic charity single that will feature Adele, U2, One Direction, Chris Martin and a host of others.
Revealed at a press conference this afternoon (10 November), it was announced that the single will be recorded this weekend, for release next Monday, with the lyrics adapted to deal with the Ebola outbreak in Africa.
The single will be produced by Paul Epworth, and will be Adele's first vocal performance since 'Skyfall' two years ago.
The lineup looks set to bring together a mix of new and established talent, with Sam Smith, Bastille, Jessie Ware and Fuse ODG appearing alongside the likes of Bono and Chris Martin.
Tracy Emin will design the artwork for the single, and naturally all proceeds will go towards fighting Ebola.
Speaking of the track, Geldof told a press conference: "It really doesn't matter if it's a shoddy recording, you need to download this record. It doesn't matter if you hate the song or the artists - buy it anyway."
