Bruce Springsteen replaced Bono, joining U2 for their World AIDS Day performance in Time Square last night (1 December). Watch footage below.
The Boss came out for a rendition of 'Where the Streets Have No Name', standing in for Bono who is currently out of commision after falling from his bike. They were later joined by Chris Martin, who wore a shirt reading "substitute".
Clearly honoured to be performing with the band, he told the crowd "Dreams come true, for young and old people alike." They performed 'Beautiful Day' and 'With Or Without You' among others.

The Edge then introduced Carrie Underwood, who he reffered to as "the reigning queen of country" before a rendition of 'Change' and 'Something In The Water'.
Finally, Kanye West won over the crowd with a set that included 'Power', 'Jesus Walks', 'Black Skinhead', 'Stronger' and 'Touch the Sky' all in the space of eight minutes.
