Status Quo are celebrating after clocking up an impressive 500 weeks spent in the UK albums chart.
The grizzled rock survivors new album (their 31st) Aquostic (Stripped Bare) has been in the charts for 11 weeks, landing at No.34 this week. This means that they've now totted up an impressive 50 weeks in the charts - placing them among just 50 acts who've achieved the feat.
Leading the list are Queen, who have spent an incredible 1,457 weeks in the album charts, just ahead of The Beatles (1,406 weeks) and Elvis Presley (1,364 weeks).
"To be celebrating 500 weeks in the Official Album Chart - that's almost ten years," Status Quo's Francis Rossi told the Official Charts Company. "It feels incredible.
"It's almost surreal that this band that we formed all those years ago could reach this point. It's a tangible achievement though, and a milestone we're very proud of."

Rossi added: "Aquostic (Stripped Bare) is itself our highest charting album for 18 years and has just been certified Gold, so it's not been a bad few weeks. I rarely believe in looking backwards though, we're by no means done yet; 2015 will be another interesting year for Quo!"
