Mavis Staples is the latest act to self-confirm an appearance at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
The announcement that the gospel singer and civil rights activist will be playing the Somerset festival in June was made by her bandleader Rick Holmstrom, via his website.

The Glastonbury appearance is included alongside shows in Liverpool, London and Cambridge, with Holmstrom writing, "Looks like we'll be hitting more incredible locales in 2015. The Mavis Staples calendar is filling up fast... Look forward to seeing you!"
The only act officially announced for Glastonbury so far is Lionel Richie, but the Dalai Lama recently revealed an afternoon appearance in a post that has since been deleted.
Glastonbury Festival takes place between 24 and 28 June at Worth Farm, Somerset.
