Despite Fatboy Slim's objections, the show will go ahead

Those people (Person? Anyone?) excited about Simon Cowell's forthcoming DJ talent show will be pleased to know that the programme has been picked up by Yahoo.

The American DJ talent show, which is called Ultimate DJ, will premiere on Yahoo's online streaming platform Yahoo Screen, Music Times reports. So it won't, at least, clog up the television schedule.

Last year it was revealed that Fayboy Slim had politely turned down the opportunity to be a judge on the show, telling Cowell to "fuck off."

He continued: "That's the good thing about dance music; it grows organically through drunk people late at night coming up with stupid ideas. It's not something that can be scripted or transported into a TV studio."

Despite having little to no support from the DJ community though, the show is ploughing on full throttle, and will reportedly feature a mix of pre-recorded elements with live performances.

Ultimate DJ will air weekly on Yahoo Screen at some point in 2015.
