Indie rockers Ash have streamed 'Cocoon' online - the first full single lifted off their new LP, titled Kablammo! Listen below.
Kablammo! is hotly anticipated among fans of Ash; as the band have not released a full album in eight years, 2007's Twilight Of The Innocents being the last. Last night the band played a surprise gig at London's Barfly to show off of their new material, and relive their classic album 1977 in full.
'Cocoon' sets an adrenaline-fueled tone for the rest of the LP, loud electric energy abound, but with a melodic twist. Short and sweet, the single is slick - and sure to leave fans wanting more. Drummer Nick McMurray had to say of it, "Having this much fun crammed into two and a half minutes is probably illegal."

When asked about the new album in full, McMurray went on to say,"we've stripped away the electronic overtones of the A-Z Series and made a streamlined blazing guitar record. On every song you can hear what makes this band tick, our beating (atomic) heart. It's a visceral expression of what has driven us since 1992. Passion, melody and Ash."
