Grace Jones has been announced as the headliner of Rob Da Bank’s new festival, Common People.
The non-camping festival, which takes place on Southampton Common in Hampshire, has also added Years & Years, Second City, Waze & Odyssey and Jeremy Underground Paris.
Speaking of the addition of Jones, Rob Da Bank said, "Grace Jones is a global icon in music and style, and an all-round radical lady who has made some of my favourite records. She also put on one of my favourite festival performances ever, at Bestival, so I can’t wait to watch her at Common People!”
Previously announced acts include Fatboy Slim, Clean Bandit, George The Poet, Slaves, Band Of Skulls and Jaguar Skills.
Rob Da Bank is best known, alongside his former role as Radio 1 DJ, as the co-founder of Isle Of Wight’s Bestival. At the 2014 AIF Festival Congress Awards, he was given the Outstanding Contribution Award.
Common People takes place at Southampton Common from 23-24 May. For tickets and more information, click here.
