After Madonna sparked rumours last year that she would be working with British dance duo Disclosure, she has explained for the first time why the collaboration didn't happen.
Madonna told the Rolling Stone: "I love their stuff, and I wanted to work with them. And I met with them to work with them, and I played them some of my music. When I met them it was at Governor's Ball, and they had such a busy schedule. I was in Europe, they weren't there. When they were in New York, I wasn't here. So we couldn't hook up"
While discussing the making of her thirteenth studio album Rebel Heart, the singer referred to working with Kanye West, Diplo and Avicii - admitting that she couldn't add another busy schedule to the process: " I had so many other moving parts. I couldn't add one more problem to the equation. One more person that I was chasing".
Read the full interview over at Rolling Stone - not least because in it Madonna mentions how she thinks Drake's "You could be big as Madonna" is a good pickup line.
