Willy Moon and Natalia Kills have been sacked from X Factor in New Zealand after they bullied a contestant live on air. Watch the footage below.
A failed Apple soundtrack wonk and a Poundshop Lady Gaga may make unlikely choices for reality show judges but that didn't stop Willy Moon and Natalia Kills from being hugely cruel to a performer on X Factor New Zealand.
The pair watched a performance of 'Cry Me A River' by Joe Irvine before launching into a tirade, despite booing from the audience. In the video below, Kills called the contestant of being "disgusting" and "creepy" and accused him of copying her husband Moon (which presumably means he aspired to entered the album chart at number 75). Moon, a man who sounds like a Mr Byrite suit with a vocal coach, said the contestant resembled “Norman Bates dressing up in his mother’s clothing”.

Announcing that the sacking, MediaWorks’ Mark Weldon described the comments as “completely unacceptable”. “While the judges on X Factor are expected to provide critiques of the performances, we will not tolerate such destructive tirades from any of the judges,” he said.
“Contestants put their all into this competition and they should expect to receive feedback and criticism that is professional and constructive. We no longer have confidence that Kills and Moon are the right people to perform the role of X Factor judges and they will leave the show, effective immediately.” Former All Saint and fellow judge Mel Blatt added insult to injury by saying what we're all thinking and declaring the singer to be 'a twat'.

Neither Moon nor Kills have commented on the sacking yet, although the latter tweeted after the event:
I love you guys, thanks for your support & understanding my passionate opinions! You know what they say about me... https://t.co/DNBksvmYWM

It would probably be cruel to point out that the Kills' 'Problem' globally only entered the Dutch chart and even then only reached number 70.
