Continuing his quest to prove his dad rock credentials to a skeptical electrorate, Prime Minister David Cameron has announced he is a big fan of The War On Drugs.
Having previously revealed a fondness for First Aid Kit, Mumford and Sons and The Smiths, there is a new album on Cameron's iPod. In an interview with Attitude, Cameron revealed he had been listening to Adam Granduciel after it was recommeneded by his wife Samantha (who has clearly moved on from Azealia Banks).
"[My wife] Samantha got me listening to a new thing called The War On Drugs" he told the magazine. "I can recommend it. They’re a band, you can find them on Spotify or iTunes – anyway, they’re good!"
Attitude also spoke to the rival party leaders about their musical taste. Disappointing Ed Miliband turned out not to be a Sun Kil Moon fan but announced he was a big fan of Ellie Goulding ("She invited me to this benefit concert she was doing for the homeless just before Christmas. I really like her"). Nick Clegg said he was listening to classical music while a UKIP spokesperson said that Nigel Farage was improbably listening to 'French rap'.

The festival, which takes place between 4 and 6 September in Wiltshire, will also feature Django Django, Pond, Hinds, Fat White Family, Laura Marling, Low, Mac DeMarco, Metz, Slow Club and Ryley Walker.
