Straight from the personal archives

Kurt Cobain's version of the tender ballad 'And I Love Her' from The Beatles' A Hard Days Night has leaked online, after featuring in the documentary Montage of Heck.

The raw recording emerged from the personal archives of Kurt Cobain, which director Brett Morgen had unlimited access to during the making of the film.

'And I Love Her' is just one of the many lost recordings and demos featured in the documentary. The film also delves into Cobain's journals, artwork and photography.

The romantic notion of the song appears to take on a different meaning through Cobain's distinctive drawl. This appears to be recorded at home, you can even hear a woman's voice in the background, presumably Courtney Love's.

Montage of Heck was released in the UK on April 10th and is still screening at selected cinemas nationwide.
