20 years ago today, someone hit Noel Gallagher in the face
Madonna: Poor Madge. It was supposed to be her big comeback - her return to the hearts of the UK, performing new track 'Living For Love'. Decked in a cape and flanked by lads dressed as bulls and such, she soon unveiled herself in a matador before she began awkwardly walking around her bovine friends. Alas, it didn't stay a smooth performance for long as she was soon pulled to the ground and suffered some pretty shaky vocals as a result. She blamed the incident on her cape being too tight. Don't you hate it when that happens?

Oasis had their fair share of disastrous gigs during their time, but surely few were worse than the one they ended early 20 years ago today (9 August). During an appearance in Newcastle, a fan stormed the stage and hit Noel Gallagher in the face. Outrage, Noel refused to carry on, and their bus was mobbed as they left.
The Gallagher brothers aren't the only people to endure hardships while on stage though. Muse's Matt Bellamy "f**ked" his face at a gig and performed much of the set covered in blood; Este Haim suffered a diabetic seizure at Glastonbury, and Steve Tyler fell into the crowd during Aerosmith's 2010 tour.
