Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham has admitted he "likes" and "admires" pop sensation Taylor Swift.
Speaking at the University of South California's Bovard Auditorium in Los Angeles on Wednesday (April 29) he was asked which current artist has the "staying power" of Fleetwood Mac and went for Swift.
Explaining his reasoning, Buckingham said: "I actually like Taylor Swift. I admire what she's been able to do on some levels... There are a ton of really good people out there. I don’t think music is any less vital (these days). I think it’s a little harder to churn out interfaces with sociology. When I was a kid and Elvis Presley broke through to a middle class, white audience, it was a sociological phenomenon that lasted through the Beatles and even a bit through Fleetwood Mac."
Meanwhile, Fleetwood Mac are currently gearing up for a string of huge UK shows, as well as headlining 2015's Isle Of Wight Festival. Upcoming tour dates are below. For tickets and information, visit here.
