16 January 2015: Slipknot returned to the stage in style last night with their first major UK tour in nearly six years, supported by nu-metal pioneers Korn.

Frontman Corey Taylor told the crowd: "It has been far, far, far too f***ing long but Slipknot is back with all of you tonight. We're going to make up for lost time."

Korn opened with 'Twist' from 1996 album 'Life Is Peachy' and their set included fan favourites from the band’s heyday, including 'Here To Stay' and 'Freak On A Leash', as well as a short cover version of Metallica’s 'One'.

Slipknot’s set also spanned their hit-laden back catalogue, with tracks from their self-titled 1999 debut performed alongside songs like 'The Devil In I' from their newest LP, '.5: The Gray Chapter'.

The Prepare For Hell Tour is their first time appearing in the UK with new bass player, Alessandro Venturella. Drummer Joey Jordison, who left Slipknot for undisclosed reasons in 2013, is replaced by Jay Weinberg, son of Max Weinberg, the drummer in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band.
