British music festivals rarely go off without a hitch these days and temperamental weather conditions unfortunately marred the opening day of this years Field Day.
Settling into it’s new home of Meridian Water, teething problems were bound to be expected and poor weather conditions meant that Pip Blom and Boy Azooga were forced to perform to an empty crowd with revellers still queuing up outside to get in.
Luckily as night fell and Skepta took to the stage to headline night one, the issues appeared to be ironed out, and guest appearances from the likes of J Hus, Octavian, Michael Phantom, Lancey Foux and WizKid washed away the bitter taste of the day’s earlier calamities.
Day two saw performances from Jorja Smith, Diplo and Pusha T on the Main Stage as the sun decided to make a reappearance. Our photographer Ben McQuaide was on hand to capture some highlights from the two-dayer.
