Laryngitis came rampaging in, leaving Michael Kiwanuka unable to perform and switching the bill for the opening night of BBC Radio 6 Music Festival. Nadine Shah tagged onto the line-up, joining Black Midi and Brittany Howard for the incredible festival's debut.

Inside the Roundhouse, the math-prog rock of It band Black Midi opened the evening before Brittany Howard's unreal vocals raised hairs all around the venue. Then, Nadine Shah closed the night: her first performance of two across the weekend.
