More about:

Since exploding into public consciousness –  initially with a couple of brilliant EPs (Consistency of Energy and Call of the Wild) and then 2018’s Street Worms debut album – Viagra Boys have continued to elevate themselves with their swaggering take on post-punk.

The Swedish quintet return with their third full length Cave World and it is another vibrant record full of buoyant energy coupled with just the right amount of discordant noise and is delivered with a biting humour which results in a joyous listening experience.

Wasting no time, the band launch into the instant ‘Baby Criminal’ and from then on in, it’s a whirlwind of upbeat grooves, sarcastic lyrics, vital electronic flourishes and cool riffs all delivered with a knowing sense of fun. Viagra Boys are a band who have always done things on their own terms and this album is no different. They sound like they are having the time of their lives on fantastically well put together songs like ‘Punk Rock Loser’, ‘ADD’ and ‘Troglodyte’.

Simply put, Cave World is a brilliantly fun album and the perfect soundtrack to a world coming out of massive two year hangover. It’s a record that will surely see Viagra Boys take their growing status to fully-deserved new levels.

Cave Town arrives 8 July via YEAR0001.
