'Crocodile' proves there's still meat on the old ribs. An anthemic number in the manner of 'Born Slippy' and ‘Two Months Off', 'Crocodile' makes for a snappy tune to launch Underworld's fifth album a week later - the five years in the making, 'Oblivion With Bells'. With Rick Smith's crunchy beats and dizzying programming, and wispy, airy, cathedral-occupying delivery from Karl Hyde - elusive in song, singing about who knows what, 'Crocodile' is a hooked staccato-stomper cast in the shapely Underworld mould - "...is that you/ is that really you..." will have clubland feigning the lyrics.
Released 08/10/07 on UnderworldLive.
