'An incredible show from a star in her prime'

On the second night of her sold out tour, Katy B took to the stage in her home town declaring that London is her favourite place to play, to which she was greeted by a rapturous and hyped up crowd at Camden’s Koko, who had eagerly queuing down the street for the doors to open, and she definitely put on one hell of a show.

Joined by four backing dancers at various stages, Katy’s energetic set was peppered with covers of classic dance tracks such as Baby D’s ‘Let Me Be Your Fantasy’ and Tina Moore’s ‘Never Gonna Let You Go’, and the entirety of her new and incredibly successful album Little Red.

The energy levels of both Katy and the crowd intensified, when halfway through ‘Lights On’ Ms Dynamite was introduced to the stage for her part, before breaking into her current collaboration ‘Dibby Dibby Sound’ to which the crowd erupted. Never seemingly stopping to catch her breath Katy sung ‘Not That Easy’ before introducing what she describes as such an important song to her, ‘Crying For No Reason’, which was vocally incredible.

When she came back on for her encore to song ‘Perfect Stranger’ the response was incredible, and people were reluctant to leave once she had finished her set. The tempo and quality of Katy’s music, which has only gotten better since she debuted in 2010 makes it easy to assume that her show was going to be incredible, but combined with her energy and vocal prowess, the hyped up crowd and the appearance of Ms Dynamite and the nod to classic dance anthems made Katy’s show one of the best you could ever see.

Already billed to play at various festivals over the summer, including V and Global gathering, her set is definitely not one to miss.
