Milk Kan - 'Here Ya Come Again & Again’

Plugged to death over the airwaves earlier this year, Milk Kan’s bloody delightful ‘Here Ya Come Again & Again’ rightfully gets a fresh release. Undoubtedly the genius of this track is the Dolly Parton samples which perfectly compliment the quirky lo-fi, ‘anti-folk’ tune that the Kan knock out. With its generous piano plonks, the cheeky cockney chap vocals bouncing off Dame Dolly’s inimitable voice, the repetitive insanely catchy, it’s a beguiling concoction. On paper, it straddles the line between novelty pop or genius but the result is emphatically the latter. Perhaps the only bad thing about it is that Chris Moyles is a fan. Damn shame.
