'Weird Al' Yankovic has made two hilariously funny songs to parody Pharrell William's and Daft Punk's hugely successful hits 'Happy' and 'Get Lucky', respectively. Check them out below.
‘Happy’, aptly reworked as 'Tacky', comes with a video that sees Yankovic parade around in a seriously psychedelic outfit before being joined by an array of comedy actors including; Aisha Tyler, Margaret Cho, Eric Stonestreet.
The highlight comes in the form of Jack Black, who in a characteristically jovial manner, jumps about and delivers the line: "43 bumper stickers and a YOLO license plate, bring along my coupon book whenever I'm on a date".
Not accompanied by a video, and without hilariously witty reworked lyrics, Yankovic's parody of 'Get Lucky' lasts just 53 seconds, but is in some ways funnier than 'Tacky'.
Short and to the point, Yankovic appears to be having a playful dig at the repetitiveness of the catchy chorus.
Singing with increasing passion and purpose, the supporting music becomes grander and grander until it becomes completely ridiculous – not dissimilar to something you'd expect to hear accompanying the climax of a circus performance.
Both tracks will feature on Yankovic's upcoming album Mandatory Fun, due for release July 15.
